Online Filing Providers

Online filing of Missouri returns is done through third party software providers who provide electronic online filing of federal and state income tax returns through the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) Electronic Filing System. The Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) accepts the electronic filing of all Missouri individual income tax filers with the exception of the following tax situations:

  • Filing certain federal schedules as listed by the IRS in Publication 1345;
  • Filing Form MO-1040 and claiming Enterprise Zone or Rural Empowerment Zone Income Modification;
  • Filing Form MO-1040 Recapturing Low Income Housing Credit; or
  • Claiming a resident credit (Form MO-CR) for more than two states per taxpayer.

The Department encourages electronic filing; however, we neither support nor recommend any software provider listed. This list is provided as a service to Missouri taxpayers. Technical and support issues must be addressed directly with the selected provider.

NOTE: The following links are to third-party providers who provide electronic online filing of federal and state income tax returns through the IRS E-File system. These providers may charge a fee for filing and transmitting returns.
