Republic Contract Office Named Business of the Year

        JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) is proud to announce that the contract office in Republic was recently named the 2007 Business of the Year.

        The Republic Area Chamber of Commerce made the announcement during the Winterfest banquet and awards ceremony.  The Business of the Year award is one of the Chamber’s highest honors.  Last year’s winner, Greg White, made the presentation to license office agent Ron Mark and Alicia Tyler.

        White said, “The Republic License Office is very involved in supporting the goals of the Chamber, as well as helping the Department of Revenue at the state level.”

        “I commend this office for receiving this award and for answering my call to increase efficiencies and improving the quality of service to the Missourians they serve,” Gov. Matt Blunt said.

        “The Missouri Department of Revenue is very proud of the Republic License Office and their involvement in their community,” said Omar Davis, Director of Revenue.  “Ron and his staff provide a valuable service to Republic, and their participation and contribution reflect the Department’s efforts to provide excellent customer service to the communities we serve.”

        Ron Mark was named the contract agent in March 2005, and the office is located at 243 U.S. Hwy 60 West in Republic.
