Revenue Department Announces Fourth License Office Set for Competitive Bid
JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) announced today that a fourth motor vehicle and driver license contract office in Vandalia will be the subject of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage the public in an open, competitive bid process for operation of the license office.
"Three contract offices have already been awarded as part of this open, competitive process and we plan to continue this approach with the Vandalia office," Gov. Matt Blunt said.
The RFP was released April 28, 2008, and proposals from interested parties are due on June 4, 2008.
The Department currently contracts with 183 independent contractors throughout the state to provide motor vehicle titling/registration and license services. The RFP for the Vandalia office is available on the state’s On-Line Bidding/Vendor Registration System at https://www.moolb.mo.gov. The previous office, located at 210 South Main in Vandalia, closed on April 10, 2008.
Like the RFP for the West County, Harrisonville, and Potosi offices, the Vandalia RFP details requirements for confidentiality, personnel training, office facility and equipment needs, sales and service, security, and record keeping.
"It is vital we set a high standard for customer service," said Director of Revenue Omar Davis. "We are always looking at our offices for ways to improve customer service and the bid process will help us continue to achieve this goal."
A copy of the RFP may be obtained at https://www.moolb.mo.gov. To review the RFP, select "Guest" on the home page. Click on "Open Bids by Agency" and scroll through the list of bids until you locate bid number B3Z08154. Click on the bid number and click it again in the second paragraph of the Open Bid Detail page. A page will open where you may download the official bid document in a Microsoft Word or PDF format.
