Steelville Contract Office Closes Temporarily

CRAWFORD COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Revenue (Department) announced today that the Steelville motor vehicle and driver license office will be closed Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2, 2008, for inventory.  The office is located at 207 West Main Street and will reopen for business on Monday, May 5, 2008.  The interim agent for this office will be Cynthia Brinkmann.  This office will be the subject of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage the public in an open, competitive bid process for operation of the license offices.

Customers who need to apply for or renew their driver license or motor vehicle registration are encouraged to visit any one of the following locations:

• Cuba Contract License Office:  320 N. Franklin, Cuba; Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; First and Last Saturday 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
• Potosi Contract License Office:  219 East High, Potosi; Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Last Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Salem Contract License Office:  102 West Third, Salem; Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00  p.m.
• Viburnum Contract License Office:  #2 Viburnum Center, Viburnum; Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
